Library Media Center of Laurel Heights United Methodist Church is established to support the total ministry of the Church. Our goal is to serve as a resource center and archival pool for teachers, volunteer leaders, staff, and church members of all ages. For all our patrons, we offer opportunities for inspiration, learning, and spiritual growth. |
Grand Opening The new Laurel Heights Library Media Center opened January 29, 2006. We had a wonderful opening day with great congregational participation. Location The Library Media Center is located on the third floor, Room 315-A. Collection The Library has received “rave reviews” on our collection and it just keeps GROWING. To date, the Library Media Center contains more than 3,500 books and media entries (from CDs, and audiocassettes to videotapes and DVDs on numerous topics.) Thank you for your continued support of our library. State-of-the-art Technology Patrons also have access to library computers, copy and scanning equipment and audiovisual equipment. You do not need computer knowledge, however, to check out books and other media! Please ask a Library volunteer for more information.
Library Catalog Online You can now access the Library Media Center via the Internet. (No login or password is needed to browse.)
1. Browse from our collection of books, videotapes, DVDs, audiocassettes and more.
2. Search by topic, keyword, author, title, subject, or ISBN number.
3. Do a Visual Search by classification, recent additions, award winners, materials by type, and items of general interest.
4. Check the status of the media you are interested in. (Is it on the shelf or check out?)
5. Lookup information on your library account. Do you have overdue books? (First time users of the Online Catalog wishing to access account information will need to first contact the Librarian for issuance of a Patron Barcode and ID.)
