Super Adults has been a ministry of Laurel Heights United Methodist Church since 1975 and has enjoyed tremendous success, now boasting a membership of around 250. It is open to any adult. PURPOSEThe goal of Super Adults is to encourage continued and new friendships, sharing of experiences, and ministry to one another so that all may continue to live healthy, happy and purposeful lives. LEADERSHIPSusan Holloway has been the Director for the Super Adults program since 1998.
STEERING COMMITTEESuper Adults is governed by a Steering Committee consisting of 30 members, at least two-thirds of whom are members of LaurelHeights. The Steering Committee meets monthly to review, plan and coordinate all activities and committees. FRIENDSHIP GROUPSThe entire membership is divided into Friendship Groups with approximately 20 members in each group. Friendship Groups are responsible for hosting the monthly lunch (setting tables, decorating, and providing door prizes), serving as greeters at the church entrances, and providing refreshments for the fellowship hour. In addition, Friendship Groups provide desserts for the Games Day lunch.
